Football's back! At least, college football is back.

so, i hope everyone has noticed all of the new campfires lately. we've got some good ones, and maybe a few more on the horizon! i hope you all know, if you have an idea for a weekly campfire that you'd like to host, you can pitch it to me or any of the other rangers at any time. we're all very excited for these new campfires here in the forest, and i hope you all remember to thank the new posters (as well as the people who have been doing their weekly posts for some time now) for putting in the effort to keep the forest entertained and happy.

So, I've been re-reading some of my old favorites lately and just ran across one of the best bits of dialogue I can remember. It's from The Port Angeles Players, and Edward has just asked Bella if she'd prefer to date Cary Grant or Jimmy Stewart:

Cary's a dish, and he's smart and charming and sexy and all of that. But Jimmy. Oh, Jimmy. He's just real and lovely and funny and awkward, and you know that when he tells you that he loves you, he means it with every single cell in his body. It's not a joke for Jimmy, ever, even if he's smiling when he says it. 

Amen, sister!

Lets talk YA movie adaptations.

So even though Lily Collins is still strutting around movie premieres like they are runways, TMI pretty much flopped. I think it made something like $15m for a five day opener in the US. To compare, Twilight,  with a far less slick marketing campaign made $37 on day one

You should read this live-blog of some writer dude watching it btw. I guess that explains why it did so badly

With TMI, BC and The Host all being disasters, I wonder how the upcoming YA movies will fare.

I'm super excited for Divergent. The trailer didn't wow me but I loved this behind the scenes thing

because Four and Tris and Kate Winslet all seem fun
