Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman has been found dead in his Manhattan Apartment.

He was only 46 years old. 

Are they still filming Mockingjay?  I think I recall him entering rehab last year for heroin addiction.

Today in the U.S. is Superbowl Sunday. The Seattle Seahawks are playing against the Denver Broncos. My family and I are going to a party later & of course I'm bringing food. Aside - I'd love to go somewhere & not to have to make something.

So, what team are you cheering for? Do you care who wins or loses? Do you go to or have a Superbowl party?

Have you ever been to an American football game? Also, I must chime in as an American: I still don't get why they call it football. To me, soccer is football & football should be called something else. Thoughts on that one?

Wow, haven't seen Rob clean shaven and with longer hair in ages.  Thought it was worth a campfire.   He looks younger, almost Edward again.

Here he is in Morocco, where he is filming Queen of the Desert with Nicole Kidman.  (I wonder if they are getting along.  They would seem like oil and water to me.  Because I know them so well, yeah.)

Can't think of anything interactive at the mo.  We could discuss plastic surgery and Nicole Kidman's face (so luminous in Moulin Rouge!).  We could discuss facial hair (but we've done that in other campfires).  Edwardian clothing v twenties style, the time period of The Queen of the Desert?

Hello, since it is free for all I need to vent some. On a particular issue. You will have noticed that there are campers who ask for a lost fic, seeking either the title or the PDF.

When this is not done during Free for All or in the Help campfire, the rule is that anybody asking for that needs to add  the rec of another story. There are a few campers who don't know or don't want to learn this rule. What is astonishing is that they don't add the damn rec  even when a Ranger (or another camper) reminds them. It is like they don't read their own campfire, or they are too stubborn or too stupid to care.

Of course, their campfire is eventually erased, but ofter after they have received the answer they wanted.

This annoys me. If it annoys you too, I have a suggestion: if you have the answer they seek don't give it to them but simply comment that you have an answer for them, but will post it only after they have posted the requested  rec.

Would it work?

I was wondering if you guys could help me out.  I'm looking for some recommendations for fics where Edward is a drug addict.  I find these very interesting.  However, I find that well written ones are very hard to find.  I'll get sucked into a good story and then it comes to light that Edward smokes weed, but acts like a cokehead.  So, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this.  Thanks so much!

I just want to say that I absolutely loved this fic.  So suspenseful and intense.  I could hardly put it down at all until I had finished it.  Hope you love it as much as I did.

The Chinese calendar follows the lunar stages so Chinese New Year varies every year.  Today is Chinese New Year!

Red is a lucky color and there are many other symbolic foods and traditions that occur.  One of these traditions is giving out red envelopes to children with lucky money (some give out to all unmarried relatives no matter the age).

While looking for pictures for the front page, I came across this lovely blue clutch from Marc Jacobs.  Apparently it's from his 2010 line.  I like quirky things like this, so I decided to see if I could still find it.  It's on Overstock for $640.  A bit out of my price range, but I'll just include the picture so I can admire it.
