Diving Deep for Fan Fic Treasures

Each week I will brave the treacherous waters of Fan Fiction for buried treasure. Below are the gems I've found this week!

This nasty cold weather in the northeast is making me cranky, so I went for as little angst as possible.

A paladin, by definition is any determined advocate or defender of a noble cause. Bella, a coffee barista and Edward, a Seattle detective come together through a common goal, but end up getting a little more than they bargained for. Can they become the fierce defenders they need to be for the most noble cause of all...saving the world? Romance, suspense, humor and all of the above.

Something a little supernatural/superhero-y hapnin' here. Hasn't quite been revealed yet, we know a little bit,  but I'm looking forward to more!

The name says it all in this one.  Love this adorkable Edward.  Was once two stories (one BPOV and one EPOV.)   Now combined.

I have a plot bunny. I am super in love with this plot bunny. I've been sitting in front of my computer for hours trying to write something on it, but then I realized... I don't want to write this story. I want to READ it. I must assume I am not the only person in the fandom who thinks up stories they want to read but have no real interest in writing, so what's say we do each other a favor? I'll tell you my plot bunny, and you can write my story. And then you can post your plot bunny and see if anyone else wants to write it. Win, win?

Question to make it even more interactive: What differentiates a plot bunny you write and one you want to read? Why on earth would anyone come up with something they want to read if it doesn't already exist? Are we just hardwired to make ourselves as frustrated as possible? Plot bunny inside.

Seriously, who is this chick? (if it's a chick. The war/fight scenes are written in too much detail not that I'm gender stereotyping or anything just saying). She started writing Twifics relatively late (end of 2011), she writes as often as I eat if her life depends on it, and wow, when she's good, she's GOOD. Read My wounded soldier a long time ago, can't get Chapters 1 and 10 out of my head. I was in awe.

I hadn't gone too crazy on her stories because I generally can't get into period fics (aren't the characters far too old by now? Or dead?) or her Edwards weren't appealing to me (in love with his friend's daughter? "Look how you turned out"? idk). But her new fic? It's reminded me of why I read Twific in the first place. I keep checking for an update. The characters can't get out of my head. I pay little attention to my family (and several real life problems). It's glorious.

I know we don't really have cfs on specific authors, but, idk, i feel like this one kinda stands out, if only for how much she writes. Of course, as Cullenista once said, just because she can write doesn't mean that she should write such long stories. Do you like her writing style? Her plots? Have you flounced her stories because they seem to go on forever? And how do you feel about her idea of a dark hair, brown eyed, tanned Edward? (unf)

This is why I can't get sh*t done. Planned all this color printed, gif inspiring fun campfire(see below) then couldn't get photos or gifs to transfer. Then I couldn't even get the print to be large AND red. So this cf is for exchanging valentines and showing how pissed you are when you just are trying to complete ONE THING!!! Since I can't do any fun gifs my valentine goes out to Badjujube who's proably laughing at me, and Miaokuancha, who proably is feeling sorry for me! I love you both!! 

It's been ages since I participated in a CF much less started one. That doesn't mean I don't check things out! Elinor suggested a Valentine exchange and I would love to exchange lovenotes to her and 14 other ADF friends.
