I hope none of our campers here got stuck on the roads like so many in Atlanta, and that everyone is safe and sound, and bundled up. 

This is a pretty interesting clip.  Some of you may or may not recognize the guy that pops up around the :56 mark (and again around 1:28).  I can't recall his name (cough, Sam, cough), but I'm sure some here can.

Can you imagine Will Smith as Neo in The Matrix (he was offered the role before Keanu Reeves was hired).  Al Pacino turned down the role of Han Solo. And in light of the success Jennifer Lawrence has had, imagine if she'd won the part of Bella Swan after all?  The mind boggles.

Welcome to the Monday Morning Hot Guy Campfire. What better way to start your week than a hot guy?

Every Monday, I'm going to dedicate a CF to the Hot Guy of the Week.The catch? The CF can ONLY be about the current nominated guy.

Do you play board or card games?  

Once or twice a month, my older kids and their significant others come over, I cook some of their fave dishes (or sometimes we'll do an assortment of favorite snacks and desserts), and we spend hours playing games.  Sometimes their friends or our friends join in too.  It's so much fun, and it's also brought us closer as a family. 

We have a fairly decent selection of games to choose from, but we're always on the look-out for something new.  

What are some of your favorite games to play with a group (either for adults or kids - I have a 12 year old in addition to grown sons)?  Please tell me what you like about the game.  Also, how long does each game usually last?  

On another note, what types of things do you do as a family to stay close and spend time together? 

Here are some of our current faves:

This is a great game for strategy.  My sons are cutthroat, so I never win, but it's still fun to try.  Players have to cooperate with each other and barter for resources, while also trying to win or keep their opponents from winning. 

A game of secret-identity/deception 

This is a card game.  It requires some planning and strategy and took me a while to get the hang of, but it's a LOT of fun. 

This game is not for everyone.  Have you ever played Apples to Apples?  This is the adult version.  I make sure the 12 year old is not within earshot when we play this.  I'd suggest only playing with people you know well who will get your sense of humor.  You have been warned.

Am throwing together one of those Sunday evening things - this time a kitchen-sink quiche or two, to make use of what we have leftover from the week and freeze the rest. So far, I've sauteed leeks, zuchinni, garlic, ham, broccoli, spinach...

My question: Would it be a (relative) disaster to include some cherry tomatoes as well? Do they ruin things by adding too much water while baking? (I hate wasting food, and these are on their last vines.)

Any experience or hunches or guesses would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am looking for drama/angst fanfics that are dealing with bullying issues.

Does anyone have any recomendations for me?

Here are four random questions, if you're game.

3) What is your favorite guilty pleasure movie - one you're sometimes embarrassed to admit you love [ and you can't count Twilight ;-) ]?  What do you love about it?

In my early to mid teens I was secretly obsessed...OBSESSED...with *NSYNC. I admit it now, but at the time I was that obnoxious, uber-indie girl who would turn her nose up at anything mainstream.  Not entirely proud of it, but we all act like idiots as some point when we're in high school. Anyway, during four hours farting around on the internet today, I found myself at a site I used to frequent: Everybody's Free to Make Fun of *NSYNC. It was basically a site for fans who loved making fun of *NSYNC almost as much as they loved the group. 

The point of all this: What were your obsessions back in the day?  Before Twilight or Hunger Games, before Justin Bieber (cringe) or One Direction, what goups/bands/movies/books did you secretly or not so secretly obsess over while waiting for your dial-up to hurry it's ass and boot up AOL already?!
