LTiF is being published as an original story in Fall 2014, as a 2-book series titled The Apartment and The Blank Canvas.

In anticipation of the release, I will be pulling the fic offline in about two weeks. I wanted to give everyone a chance to finish the story if they've just started it or even to reread it again if you like. (Spread the word to those people who still have it on their TBR lists!)

Thanks so much to everyone who has read and reviewed over the years—it means the world to me. For all lovers of LTiF, it would mean double the world if you would review the new books. I've made some changes that I hope you will be as excited about as I am! I will announce the official pub date and where you can find and purchase the books when I pull the story. The idea of using RL people in a fanfic creeps me out, but still, 800M...I can't fathom that many readers.

So, naturally, I want to talk about the most important reason not to sleep for a month:

Do you follow the games? If yes, which country do you support? Is there a country whose team you can't stand? Do you have any favourite players? My favourite games so far have been the Netherlands against Spain (5 : 1) and Italy against England (2 : 1) and I love it that the average number of goals has been so high (even though they're messing up my predictions). I support Argentina (because Messi), but I think Brazil, the Netherlands and Germany have a fair chance of winning. My absolute favourite moment so far has been the fact that Schumacher woke up from a coma (I don't care that he has nothing to do with football, he's my childhood F1 hero).

Will you look at this beautiful goal! Got to love Messi.

In my timezone, the games take place at 7 PM, 10 PM and 1 AM, which is perfect because it's summer solstice and our nights are light this time of year (can't imagine how annoyed I'd be if I lived in, say, Thailand). In fact, celebrating the Summer Solstice is the most important event of the year, and we lit a bonfire and stayed up until 4 AM yesterday. Because this knowledge is totally necessary for you.

Are there any Americans out there who follow and love the games? And by follow, I mean, you actually watch them and not read about them later. Who would you like to see in the final game? Do you have a favourite player who is simply a joy to look at? Because that's okay, too.

And if you don't follow football at all (what?! what do you mean?!), come on in and tell me about the type of sports you do participate in and watch! Or tell me about your summer plans, I'm not at all picky. I just got done with graduating and I only want to pretend I've done something other than played/watched football this summer talk.

A good Mafia story that I just read is called 'Mafia Princess' by Tufano79. She's also got many more interesting fic's. Unfortunately her stories are no longer on fanfiction. She now posts them on a site called Fictionpad.

Recently, I went back a few hundred pages on this site because I remembered a campfire where we talked about Anne Rice vs. SMeyer and comments that Anne had made toward the Twilight series.

I remember there was one person who said that AR made her think about things like Life and Death and God, and had her questioning her own beliefs about things. And she said that good literature does that.

Then she went on to say that SMeyer had never done that for her.

Okay, fine, cool.

But I'm curious because I thought, SM made me think. She made me think about Choice. Consequences. Time. She had me thinking, personally. And I wonder now - did she make any of you think? About what? Not think at all? Was there a moment when you thought, "that makes sense"? Has fanfic made you think at all? What about?

Do you play video games? Over the years, I've tried a few, but none usually hold my attention for very long.

I don't like role playing games or shooting games. I do, however, like "Sim" games. I was slightly addicted to Sims 3 for a little while (until my computer crash and killed my main character and all his love children, and then I wasn't interested anymore). Mostly, I just like designing their houses and creating unlikeable Sims.

I also kind of love Prison Architect.  For a while, I was a prison-designing mad dog.

Do you ever play video games? If so, what are your favorites- the ones you think everyone should know about? Do you find them addictive, or do you really not care?

So yesterday was a certain sparkling vampire's birthday...

And I was kind of surprised that it slipped by without mention seeing as he's the reason most of us are here. Now granted, I completely forgot until someone mentioned it on Twitter but it got me thinking. I know a lot of people here still read Twific BUT have we, in general, as a fandom become completely removed from the source material? Has anyone here reread the books recently? Or watched the movies with genuine enjoyment and not just to mock them? Would anyone here be excited if SMeyer announced she was writing a new Twilight book? Or would our response just be humor, doubt and criticism?

If the answers to the above questions are all in the negative do we need to reconnect to what brought us here? Or is it okay to let a fandom die off? Or is it not really death but just transformation (and yeah, that's way esoteric but it's 3am)? I see a lot of folks on Twitter talking about The Rover. Are we no longer a Twilight fandom but rather a Rob fandom? Am I even making any sense? Inquiring sleep deprived minds want to know.

Anyway, Happy Belated Birthday, Edward. Sorry I forgot about you.
