Hello Campers! Sorry for my lateness!
This week we are going to talk about what inspires you.
ValiumWaltzes/VW/ValWaltzing: I'm not talking about JAMMF.
We campers are a creative bunch--we write, we draw, we paint, we create.
But even if you don't have that type of outlet, we are still inspired by a great piece of poetry, novel, fic, movie or dance.
Sometimes it's a particlar lyric of a song, or the tone of music or the way a certain piece of writing starts a fluttering in my stomach that makes me itch to want to work on my own writing.
This week I've been reading Where She Went by Gayle Foreman, which is the sequel to If I Stay.
While I enjoyed If I Stay, it was nothing to how I felt about Where She Went. There was something about being in Adam's head, the way she focused all the little things, the way I felt truly transported into their world, the way her writing made me forget that I was reading. There's a certain thing that clicks off in my brain and I'm no longer figuring out how a writer wrote something, but I'm just in their world.
Come inside and discuss what inspires you. Or come discuss sequels and trilogies with me. I usually prefer the first book in a series, but this second book really resonated with me.
This group performance choreographed by Sonya Tayeh on SYTYCD gave me chills. She is such an inspiration to me as well.
