When RL feels like a Bad!fic

Tuesday December 15, 2009 at 4:47 AM

What do you do?

I'm going through a strange phase in my life. I have a few family secrets to handle, and sometimes it gets too much to hold in. Anyhoo, other than family drama, I have no love life... Not even a fleeting moment or two, and I kinda feel resentful lately. Esp reading fluff fics. I CANNOT HANDLE FLUFF!

All this happens because I'm a hopeless romantic, meh... I have this little fear of ending up like Austen. EEEP!

The last guy I was really seriously interested in, is basically a mamma's boy. He told me firmly that he won't date anyone, and that he has entrusted his parents (esp mom) with finding a good bride for him. He has no intent of finding love himself. FUCKER! LOSER! ARRGH! (sorry, but I'm pissed...)

In other words, he was not into me at all... yeah I was, and it HURT LIKE HELL . One sided thingies suck big time. We were great friends, but I had to distance myself. whatever. That had me a jolted for a while, because I had this strange belief that similar thoughts and view and opinions help forming a bond. I was so fucking wrong. We had the same views on almost all the things, just not on relationships.

(And now I hear he's going out with one of my friends. His mamma approves, of course. haha, well...)

Why am I ranting? Because I have to study out of blue for an exam for a job. I'm drunk, and my life basically sucks right now. I freaking see couples all around me, and I read Twifics to lick my wounds. I'm going a little insane I think.

My life feels like a crackfic, or worse, like a bad!fic, with bitches and lame dudes in it. Has it happened to anyone else?

I'm unable to write at all, because I have hit a roadblock of sorts. I thought I'd finish the chapter this week, but its just not coming out well. I feel like a good-for-nothing writer because of this shit.

Pardon my typos and rant...

RIP Tweet

Monday December 14, 2009 at 9:04 PM

So, this is directly inspired by a gazebo post.

Let's pretend you wanted to publicly and dramatically flounce the fandom.

Write your goodbye Tweet. That's about twenty words. Think of it as a epitaph that would go on your fandom tombstone.

For example: "Killed myself doing auto-erotica inspired by MasterofUniverse. Jennyfly,  you get my nipple clamps. Sterilize em first."

You know what time it is...

Monday December 14, 2009 at 7:55 PM

I believe you guys are getting the hang of this. This is all about YOU pimping STUFF. No, it doesn't have to be your own stuff..but no one will judge you if you do. This is all about you getting the word out about something that might not get the attention it deserves.

Maybe you are a writer? An Artist? Maybe you craft little sparkly Edwards and sell them on Etsy?

It doesn't matter. we accept ALL.

This week, instead of pimping out anyone on the home page HERE..I am giving you the opportunity for ME to PIMP YOU. Are you shy? This may work. Do you want me to read (or see or experience) your stuff? This is your chance for me to give you props right here in the SPARKLEZONE. JUST POST IN MY CABIN your pitch and NEXT PIMP THREAD YOU COULD BE THE FEATURE.

As for me, I am working on this years Christmas Mixtape. For those of you who know me, you know it'll be awesome

(and that is how you pimp)

I dont know what you celebrate, but I just lit another candle on the Menorrah and put gifts under the Christmas Tree.

Yeah, I live in one of those households.

Anyhoo...

I was thinking about all of the wonderful ladies I wouldn't be able to get gifts for and wanted to show them some love.

So use this post to wish your BFFs a Happy Holiday.  Post a pic/gif of what you would give them.

This is my gift to all of you.

Edward x Another Character?

Monday December 14, 2009 at 7:14 PM

Frankly, I don't really care about Bella so reading about her and other male characters in the books hold zero interest for me, but I was just wondering if there are any of any well-written fics out there where Edward has a meaningful relationship with someone other than Bella. (That means not one of those slutty bimbo's who always seem to be his only other option.) It's okay if he ends up with Bella in the end, but are there any? I mean.. it's kind of weird that guys are apparently lining up at Bella's door but Edward gets to choose between Bella and some slutty/cheating girlfriend.

pssh. Me? Delusional?

Monday December 14, 2009 at 6:02 PM

Often times we hear from the Twilight cast "It's not me they love...it's the character I portray..."  right.  And while it's true most fans have become familiar with the actors because of the Twilight saga, I don't know if I agree with the above statement.

I prefer mismatched buttoned, bearded, greasy Robert pics to Bouffant, Lipstick wearing Edward Cullen pics.

                >

and i definitely prefer Rathbone to Jasper

Tell me, Campers... for purely aesthetical reasons only, which do you prefer?

Actor or Character?

Darkella?

Monday December 14, 2009 at 6:02 PM

Lately all my Darkward fics have either finished (Emperors of Washington ftw!) or they havent updated in a while so as I was scrolling through my fic list I found myself just...meh.

I want something new and I want it in the form of a dark Bella.

Does she exist? Is there any fics out there where Bella is a stalker, obsessive, a murderer, just plain bat shit crazy?

That is the type of fic I am looking for and if any of you know of any can you please let me know?

Thanks!!

What's in a name...

Monday December 14, 2009 at 3:43 PM

So, my sister is having her first baby next month, and we don't know if it's a girl or a boy. Being the considerate sister that I am, I thought I'd have a look on the web for popular baby names...

And this is what I've found...

http://www.babynames.com/Names/Popular/

Edward is a new entry on the chart from the previous year, and both Bella and Jacob have moved up more than 10 places on the previous year. There must be alot of Twiparents out there!

And then, today, this popped up in my inbox, which is what pushed me to post this in the first place...

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/22/20091214/tsc-life-us-babies-names-011ccfa.html

The interesting bit is about halfway down.

And so, it got me thinking. I don't have any kids myself, but I was wondering, if you do have kids, what did you name them and why? Also, would you ever name your child after a Twilight character?

And just because it's my favourite pic of Rob... well, one of them anyway!

Rangers, feel free to pull this if you think it shouldn't be here!

Peter & Jennie want a baby boy!

Monday December 14, 2009 at 10:24 AM

Please forgive me for quoting such a lame source, but I thought this was kinda cute, and I kinda wanna do Peter...so whatev....

Looks like Daddy C may be busy while the details for Breaking Dawn are finalized.  The Twilight Saga’s Patriarch Peter Facinelli & wife Jennie Garth talk to OK! magazine about their home life, & how it’s like to be the male in a house full of women.

"I want a boy every day. Yes I do. I love them. We’re so fortunate, and I don’t ever want to push that envelope. You think, ‘I have three healthy, great kids, and I’m so lucky’ that I would be scared to have more. But I would be willing to take the risk. I do want a boy.”

How cute is this family?  They are quite the showstoppers.   Peter & Jennie have been married for 8 years & have 3 daughters: Luca Bella 12, Lola 7, and Fiona 3,. I think it would be too cute to see a little Carlisle running around forks!  Jennie, go ahead take a chance.  I know I wouldn’t stop until I produced a little PFach junior.

Peter & Jennie both speak about home life and their marriage as well as their “private bath time” check out the too cute for words interview at OK! Magazine.

Kellan Lutz on Breaking Dawn, and more!

Monday December 14, 2009 at 8:29 AM

If you're psyched about the prospect of a two-part "Breaking Dawn," you're not alone.

"Twilight" hottie Kellan Lutz is also into it.

"They haven't told the rest of us actors yet," he confided exclusively to The Dish Rag at the Hollywood Foreign Press Young Hollywood party last night at Nobu.

"I have read that they are talking to Rob, Taylor and Kristen to negotiate to make 'Dawn' into two movies. I'd love for it to be two films," he added.

How about that "Twilight" TV series rumor? "I just heard that too. I don't know how. You already have the books and the story's been told so beautifully. And there's already 'True Blood' and 'Vampire Diaries,' and they're both great. I don't know how it would work. Twenty two episodes?

And are you listening, Matt Damon? Because Kellan Lutz seriously wants to bro up with you in your "Bourne" action film franchise.

"I'm making this checklist as an actor," he confided. "Right now I just really want to be part of the Bourne franchise and the more I say that, maybe Matt Damon will read it and it and maybe I can play his brother."

We could totally see that. They even look a bit alike.

And on the heels of his co-star Taylor Lautner's move into the teen superhero flick, "Max Steel," Kellan wouldn't mind some super powers himself very soon. "I'd love to be 'Captain America' someday."

He's not sure exactly what his next project will be yet.  And its too early to talk specifics. But it's definitely going to in the action or romantic comedy genre. And what else did we learn during our chat with Kellan:

Broad strokes about his upcoming projects
"They're are going to studios to get the funding, and there's one I will produce. Most are action films and a couple of romantic comedies and I'm just thrilled with all the scripts."

On "Twilight" being his Golden Ticket
"People work 20 years to get what we have," Kellan admits. "We really are so lucky. Its like you get a headstart and its all because of the fans. And it's not just about money or getting offers, it's that we can mold our careers."

On attributing "Twilight" franchise success to Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart
"The rest of us, we could suck probably," Kellan says. "It's Rob and Kristen who have the amazing chemistry. Without those two keystones, "Twilight" could have flopped. It really could have."

What do you think? Is it all Rob and Kristen?

Ashley Greene in USAToday

Monday December 14, 2009 at 8:18 AM

New Moon star Ashley Greene is still getting a grip on her rise to fame — but with a full slate of upcoming projects, she's making sure her career extends beyond vampires and werewolves.

"Instantly we have this fan base, instantly we have these careers and people know who we are," says the actress, 22, who likened the rush to "instant happiness. ... People now actually care about what projects I'm in."

Greene was 17 when she moved to Los Angeles from Florida after graduating high school a semester early, and now, after being cast as prescient vampire Alice Cullen in the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's vampire romance series, Greene's visibility has skyrocketed. In addition to the release of Twilight: Eclipse June 30, Greene has two additional wrapped films under her belt.

Just like the first two Twilight movies, Eclipse has a different director, David Slade, who Greene says is "definitely different from Catherine (Hardwicke) and Chris (Weitz). He is technically the most specific director that I've ever worked with." Greene says fans of the franchise should expect Slade to "bring a darker element to this film. He seems to kind of specialize in that."

That darker side includes Alice as well. "In (Twilight), you see that quality about Alice that makes her so lovable is she's so positive and upbeat. In (New Moon), you see how she takes these uncomfortable situations and she's sassy and she brings light to a dark scene," Greene says. "In (Eclipse), you get to see a little bit of a darker side when her family is in danger. You get to see once again that she is an animal and she's not human."

As for adding non-vampire films to her résumé, Greene will be at Sundance in January for the premiere of Skateland. "The fact that we're going to Sundance is a validity factor for an actor doing something you're passionate about."

In Skateland, Greene stars as Michelle Birkam, a girl-next-door type who befriends a cool kid with a job at the local skate rink. It's set in the 1980s, so "I look just like my mother," she says. "It's crazy!"

Greene, who filmed Skateland in between Twilight and New Moon, also has wrapped Warrior, now in post-production, which stars Twilight buddy Kellan Lutz. "I got done with Twilight and went independent-crazy," Greene says.

Indies aside, she just landed the lead in The Apparition, a big-budget Warner Bros. thriller being produced by The Matrix's Joel Silver.

"To be the lead in my own box-office film is just another step," Greene says. "A couple of days before, I probably won't be able to sleep, but I'm not even nervous about it now. ... I'm just like one of those giddy girls who wants to make sure everything is perfect for the first day of school. I've already planned a week (before filming begins in Berlin) to turn off my cellphone and just focus." And with even more screen time in New Moon, which has grossed more than $267.4 million to date, she's familiar with the craze that comes with being in a box-office sensation.

"It's so strange, because we spend months on set, and then it's like, by the way, this is what's been brewing while we've been working," she says, referring to Twilight's fearlessly devoted fan base.

"I've gotten asked by people to get a lock of Rob's hair," she says of co-star Robert Pattinson, who drives teens and older women alike wild as vampire Edward Cullen. "I've even had girls come up to me and ask to smell my hair.

"I've gotten proposals, and I always wonder, what would (people) do if I said yes?"

Let me know what's been going on? Rpatz news? Great fics? Juicy forest gossip?

I'm his room-mate now,  though.
AND
He has a girlfriend.
Sigh.
But.. I'm seriously craving the Bella/Edward room-mate fics (I've been daydreaming since Friday.
So you can sends those my way, if you know of any good ones
