I have a question that's been rolling around in my head for a while but have been afraid to ask out of appearing like a damn right idiot.

What does "shipping" mean?

And while i'm on a roll, is there a reason besides typos, that the word "own" in fanfic appears as "pwn" so often? Like it happens ALOT and I had to start assuming there's a real reason. It just can't be the only word that gets mispelled soooo often.

Also, I need a cute pic instead of my ex. Any of Rob smoking are fine....hint hint

Hey.  My very first campfire.  I feel like such a woman now....

Just wondering if anyone out there has read the new Twilight Graphic Novel and if so, is it worth getting/reading?  I might get it just to have in with my collection, but just wanted some opinions on it.

OK so. I would love to know what fanfic everyone is reading right now & also what their fav is so far & also fav authors :)

I'll start. My fav so far is "Scotch,Gin & The New Girl" It was the first fanfic I ever read & I've read it maybe 4-5 times lol I loved it so much, that I tried to delay going to hospital while in labour lol

What I'm reading at the moment: I'm actually in the middle of 3. Responsibilities (Seraphimxox), One Night in Vegas (-xMrs.Gregory.Housex-) and A Rough Start (ItzMegan73) And I am dying waiting for the next chapters.

Fav Author would have to be jandco. She is just so talented & all her stories are very different & I've loved every single one of them.

There was a wonderful post yesterday with a bunch of icons. It's amazing what all you talented people are able to do.

Seeing all the icons made me want to try making some myself, so...

What program/website are people using to make and resize all these amazing animated gifs?
I wanna try to.

How do you take still photos to make an animated gif and how do you use a youtube video to make an animated gif?

I know how to resize and crop a still picture, but I'm lost when they are animated. Everything animated really. Help please! 

Also, I'm on a mac. If we could have something for both mac and windows users that would be great.

Hey Ladies!

SO I realized today that there were actually people who HAVEN'T seen THE HILLYWOOD parodies, which in my world is blasphemy. LOL.

This is HILLYWOOD's NEW MOON parody and it's AWESOME, and so super cool that the Summit people actually LET THEM use Bella's real truck from the film.

And this is the one that started it all, HILLYWOOD's TWILIGHT parody. (Which will always and forever be my favorite!)

I propose we discuss these wonderful aspects of the fandom and our love for these parodies!!

ALSO what other aspects of the fandom have you branched out into and realized you loved?

Hope this is what the campfires are for... I have been reading fanfic for about 6 months now, (length of pregnancy) and i want to get more involved in the community aspect of the fandom, but I don't know how... The more i write here, the stupider this sounds, but, oh well:) Any suggestions on good blogs/forums, etc? (i was glad to stumble on this site for sure, so far it seems pretty user friendly!) Also, does anyone know of a way to find other twilighters locally? I live in the Kansas City area, and I would love some good twilight fan fic buddies, but no idea how to find them!!! HELP! and thanks!

I am thinking of starting two petitions for fanfiction.net but I would like to hear your thoughts and feelings on the following topics.

The first petition will be to up the rating to NC17 or MA.

The second will be to incorporate a sort by rating option.

My question to you is, do you agree with these? Would you sign it? If not, then why not?

I truly do want to hear reasons against and for these two options as I think it'll help me with the letter I write in the petition.

As you may be aware, ADF is currently growing above and beyond our wildest expectations. As such, people are giving us feedback on what they like/don’t like and how they’d like to be involved.

So as such, I’m currently scouting talent for ADF – we’re starting a section of blogs and I’m the talent scout, meaning I’m looking for people who are intelligent, witty and not afraid to pull punches to come on board and join the ADF family.

• Do you know of anyone who you think would write a blog you would want to read?
