 Are there any fics out there in which Carlisle falls from grace?  As in he has a huge secret that is found out and it's discovered he isn't who everyone thought?  When I read Mr. Horrible I thought C and Es' story would be interesting.  

SO I just want to start this post by saying

A. I'm a little drunk after dinner with hubby

B. I LOVE fanfiction. NO question although this post would seem otherwise...and  I have TONS of faves

C. My point is not to bash, AT ALL

I am brave enough to say there are stories I don't get the fascination with....but others love, which is fine

I'm not belitteling what these authors have written, some just don't work for all... just sayin' this is a free kingdom, right??

What are some stories you just don't understand the fascination??

I'll list one... Poughkeepsie... Please change my mind and i've had conversations with the author, so i'm not hating on her.

It's 3:20 AM over here and I just got home from some clubbing but I just had to share this (If I do some misspelling I blame it on the alcohol).

 So I finally saw Remember Me, and it was really good! It's fun to see Robert do some serious acting! 

BUT while I was watching this movie I couldn't help but to think of a few things:

1. Robert's head is really big.

2. Whenever he plays mad he hunch his shoulders, making him look like he doesn't have a neck.

3. Emilie De Ravin and Robert has 10 times more chemistry on screen than Robert and Kristin does.

4. The pants he wore through out the movie didn't make his ass justice (Was all the pants that loose during 2001?).

Now, did you think of this too? Or was it something else you noticed while you were watching this?

Oh, and does someone have a good remedy for a wine-hangover? Cause I haven't found one yet.

Of course we all stalk ADF and FF =0) ... but I would like to know what other ones you frequent almost daily in regards to your obsession with Twilight?

The only one that I seem to really stick with is ROBSESSED, because I don't know of many others.

I would love to know of any KStew ones or just really good ones in general.  So please share in your stalkerish ways :)

I've being lurking around here for a while and when my teacher gave the class the new asigment I thought right away on you generous and knid people who maybe can help me out..

Long story short I'm a senior at the university, mayoring in advertising, and have to do a research about the best bloggs on the web, preferably institutional blogs (I don't know if you call them that I'm not from the US) what I mean is blogs made by wear brands, magazines, fashion designers /critics.. anything and everything that has something in common with leather goods, and fashion desing... anything you can rec me it'll help

darkshine started a thread about books we would have rather have rubbed acid into our eyes than have read, and it got me wondering . . . .

IF you were stranded and only allowed to bring your two favorite books with you, which would they be and why?

The Mists of Avalon is AMAZING--it has everything you could EVER want in a story--action, fantasy, romance, secrets, betrayal, loyalty, love--and is SO completely captivating, well written and the prose is to die for! PLUS the whole twist on a different perspective during that time, of a tale we all know, was genius.

Lamb is HILARIOUS. I love how you can tell the author REALLY took the time to research the topic, even though it was a satire. And it's even thought provoking--such a win!

Okay, I am one those people who all this time have been cutting S.Meyer some serious slack. I mean, she created Edward right? I love the series, even Breaking Dawn (though I am running out of the kool-aid if you know what I mean). I usually defend her on most of the complaints I have seen. I can explain away her plot holes (even if she can't), I get Bella, I have no problem with Nessie or imprinting, I have been a good canon fan.

Then...

A few days ago I saw a campfire stating that she had said that she fell in love with Jacob and Edward "left" her. I was like "what?", this can't be true. I am not a Jacob hater, I do end up liking him but Edward is...Edward. S.Meyer must know this, she created this little piece of fictional male heaven. I shrugged it off....

Until...

I watched the special features with my New Moon DVD and there she was, S.Meyer, claiming to be Team Jacob. WTF? I know a lot of people have a problem with the idea of characters "talking" to authors. I don't. I wrote one chapter of a fic that I haven't finished. I was plodding along and then I just typed a few lines that just came out of know where and they ended up being the best out of the whole thing. So yeah, I have lost all faith in S.Meyer. I no longer believe that she decided to leave Midnight Sun alone due to the leak, but rather because she no longer had the feel of Edward after writing from Jacob's POV. Edward in BD was fine until that and then he just disappears. I wish we could get a hold of a copy of Forever Dawn to see what it looked like before Jacob became a major character.

I also noticed from the same featurette that some of the people in the movies get that Edward and Jacob represent two different types of guys/love, both equally appealing to different women, while others think that Jacob is the wonderful healthy choice and Edward is the sick, twisted, obsessed choice. I don't get that at all.

Anyways, a lot of rambling just to say, I think S.Meyer has lost sight of her own F'ing canon and most fic authors have a better understanding of the characters than she does. I think this new fangled concoction has effected the tone of the movies. This challenges everything I thought I new about authors and their creations. SO, how do those of you who have already dealt with the feelings of S.Meyer fuckery reconcile it with your love of (most of) canon?

I'm off to re-read Ithaca is Gorges or Blood Lines.

Books are awesome, however,  sometimes I'll read a book and wonder how on earth it's been published. What books have you read recently that you thought should have never been published and why?

Based on recommendation in a previous campfire, I have today finished reading 'Finding Himself' and its sequel, both featuring Cedric Diggory.  It's an amazing story which I would highly recommend anyone else interested in HP fic to go and read....but it's left me hungry.

I tried fic-diving on FF.net but we all know how dangerous that is.

Does anyone know of any other quality Cedric-centric stories out there?  Doesn't have to be on FF.  I only have two stipulations: no slash (don't have a problem with it normally, but I'd much prefer him with a girl), and not with Cho, cos she rubs me up the wrong way.

Of course, if you want to rec slash or Cedric/Cho stories just because, go ahead.  I'm sure there are people in the Forest who'll read 'em.

And because this clearly calls for some Cedric decorations...

I do love a furrowed brow on Rob.
