I’d like to take a moment to inform the newbies and to remind the oldies that ROB’S obsession with me is growing stronger by the day.  
I hadn’t heard from him in a while so I thought maybe, you know…that he was FINALLY ready to move on and leave me alone.
But no…. dude still has it bad.    

I’ve got evidence. HE’S STILL CALLING ME OUT….its ridick!

As you all know, Rob is currently filming Bel Ami, a film based on the book by Guy De Maupassant.  GDM is a famous 19th century French writer who was a huge influence on Henry James. 

Henry James is one of my FAV writers.  

PLUS, I took French in high school.

COINCIDENCE?  I think not.

Also…. The Age of Innocence is one of my favorite movies.  LOVE it…and I love that time period.  In Bel Ami…He’s dressed like this….

Dude…the late 19th Century is HOTTT…..js

ALSO…. One of his co-stars is Uma Thurman.

Now… I can actually directly connect Uma Thurman to the THREE of my major obsessisons things I like a lot in the last 20 years…

-she dated Phil Joanu, who I stalked for a summer in 1988 because he directed the 1988 U2 concert film RATTLE & HUM (I even spoke to his mom on the phone)

-her brother went to Wesleyan University….my RL bff went to Wesleyan AT THE SAME TIME…and we stalked his dorm and even crashed a party where I made out with some dude who KNEW HIM.

-she was married to Ethan Hawke (duhh... Before Sunrise...Call of the Wild...Gattaca...nuff said)

-and now this movie (WTF UMA…. Are YOU obsessed with me too?)

it gets better…

ROB’s next film after BA is Water for Elephants….which takes place partially at Cornell University in Upstate New York.  
I WAS IN UPSTATE NY JUST LAST OCTOBER.

OMG

PLUS… I love elephants.

UGH ROB…YOU ARE SO TRANSPARENT!!

But nothing tops this next piece of DAMNING EVIDENCE.  Rob is speaking to me almost directly in this interview……

Rob talks about movies he regrets not auditioning for.

He mentions THERE WILL BE BLOOD, but that was somewhat known….we’d heard that before.  But another film he mentioned was

THE ASSASSAINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD. 

Never before has he mentioned this movie.  NO ONE TALKS ABOUT THIS MOVIE.

ITS MY FAVORITE MOVIE EVER.

It’s a great story and everything, but it’s just so incredibly filmed, so beautiful.  I’m a photographer, by nature a very visual person.  THIS movie illustrates HOW I see the world.  Quite literally, it takes my breath away every time I watch it.

I've had this idea for a fic in my head for a month or two that's somewhat inspired by one of my favorite movies. I won't mention what it is in case I decide to write it someday (but knowing me, I probably won't...) but it got me thinking about all the great Twi-fics that seemed to have been heavily inspired by great movies...

Then ElleCC and I were talking about Jasper as a robot the other day (God knows why...) and it got me thinking about how it'd be funny to read a Twi-esque Weird Science with Jasper as the "ultimate babe" (insert Edward, if you swing that way, or maybe Rosalie if you want to be all canon about it...) or maybe a fic about the brilliant but quirky and troubled Cullens a la The Royal Tenenbaums?

What's a favorite movie of yours that you'd think would be especially fit to be Twi-fied? Who would play what role?

Hi! Has anyone read this fic?

It intrigues me, but I have to be honest, i'm not the most religious person, if at all. I don't mind reading stories involving religion, like "Son of a Preacher Man" and "The Caged Bird" (I know, very loose religion in these lol)

I do however want to know if this story is really heavy handed in it's religion topic. Edward is a youth minister, but is he a total holy roller that converts Bella? I don't know that I want to read a story about a character finding God.

Anything you could enlighten me with without giving away too much plot would be a helpful guide.

Hey all, some friends and I have gotten together to start our own Twific writing contest, the first I've been a part of from the nonwriting side!  I'm pretty excited!  It's called Silence of the Wolves and it kicks off on April First.  Details below and I'll link the FF and blogspot profiles.  Would love to see some of you participate!  It's on the gory side but I figure if we can Kill a Cullen we can kill the wolves as well!

Good Morning everyone :)

I am looking for a story that I don't rememer the title or the author.  It was about Bella and Edward. Bella worked as a nurse in the Er, Edward stumbled in one night all messed up and mumbled some saying and left a package. After Bella saved him, he escapes. Well Bella ends up kidnapped and tortued by James in Russia because of it and Edward and Emmett are on the team to save her. I think it had gotten as far as the plane ride back to the US when it stopped. I thought it was behind emeny lines but I don't think that is it. sorry if I completely butchard that story with my summary. I have had no coffee yet.

Are you reading this story? I wasn't. Not for a long time. I heard about it and heard about it, and I admit that I pick the fic I read based solely on how much I trust the source of the recommendation. Though I heard raves and love galore for this story, I never heard good things from a trusted source til fairly recently... & when I finally gave it a chance, I was delighted by the flawlessness of the writing, the subtly yet profoundly important supernatural element (in an AH story), and most of all the TECHNICOLOR. The writer writes in FULL COLOR. As I read, I was like Dorothy transported to Oz where everything was suddenly bizarrely vibrant, but in a thrilling and pleasant way. The sensory stimulation I get while reading this fic is unique.

So here's the link to chapter one over on ff.net. At some point before I awake and have a cup of coffee, the newest chapter (19) will be up... maybe before I even manage to fall asleep properly. Soon. Very soon.
