Seeing as my last two campfires were somewhat melancholy,
I decided on the fun route today through the SF Bay Area.
This is what I see when I look at the world—not trees and walls,
but conscious minds. Do I know I'm weird? Yes, I do.

I'm sure we've all been there...
The dreaded computer crash or just plain losing all of the progress you've made on writing a fic.
What about all of those crazy people that apparently don't keep back-ups of the stories they post, thus resulting in a freak out when FF.net deletes them?

Share your fanfiction storage horror stories here. What have YOU lost to the Void?

Also, if anyone would happen to know how to get my laptop to recognize my USB drive beyond the little 'ding' it makes when I've connected it, I would really appreciate it.

I'm currently trying not to freak out over the fact that I can't access the flash drive that contains EVERYTHING I'VE EVER WRITTEN/AM CURRENTLY WORKING ON.
