This Friday is the Special Iron Pen Challenge Back to School Edition! The Iron Pen Challenge is a monthly challenge where participates write a complete entry on the spot based on a prompt within a set amount of time. You can participate in this special challenge as a challenger where your entry will automatically be submitted into the fundraiser compilation or you can donate as a reader and read the IPC entries along with other one shots donated by many authors in various fandoms.

About the Special Challenge

1. All entries received will automatically be submitted into the Back to School Fundraiser compilation. If you are not comfortable with this, please reconsider signing up.

2. There will not be a public vote. Instead the winner will be determined by a team of judges.

3. The winner will receive $25 via PayPal. You must have a PayPal account and must be comfortable sharing your email address associated with that account. All information will be kept confidential by IPC Admin.

4. The winner of the challenge will be announced in the fundraiser compilation which will be distributed September 1.

5. All challengers are asked to not post their IPC entry until October 6.

6. All challengers will receive the fundraiser compilation without having to donate. However, we encourage everyone to donate a minimum of $5 to an education charity listed on the PTB site: http://projectteambeta.com/back-to-school-fundraiser/

Well, I have to say it. This photo competition seems to me over the top. If you are not involved, as I am,  you can't find anything else anymore on the Forest. Different campfires are simply swamped, they go pages and pages down,  to find them is difficult, you simply don't bother. And this is supposed to continue for a month? 

I very frequently pimp the forest with people who don't know ADF, explaining how interesting it is, how many things light and serious are discussed, what a fantastic place is to find new fics, but if they take a look in these days they surely won't uderstand my point.

Am I alone in feeling dismayed by this exercise?
