i ain't saying we wouldn't or anything. we might. if someone offered us seven figures to do it, you can bet your hineys we'd sign up and sell out.
but- your heart faltered for a moment when you read that, though, right?
that's the point of this campfire.
i'm not saying we're thinking about it or that anyone has offered- we aren't, and they haven't. this campfire is not a fishing expedition.
what i want to know is-
how did you react to this news?
would you judge us if we did it? if we pulled to publish?
if yes, why? please, be completely, utterly, and totally honest.
if no, why? would it make a difference to you if it weren't jandco & withthevampsofcourse? meaning- does who does it matter?
under what circumstances would you be on board with anyone pulling to publish? would it make a difference if we announced it to the world and involved the fandom with the process?
again- we're not thinking about it. no one has offered. someone brought up scotch during an ontd conversation about 50 shades yesterday, and it made me laugh- but it also made me go "huh".
it's simply that this is such a pertinent topic in the fandom these days, and i keep seeing some people who are diametrically opposed to the idea while increasingly more and more are kind of throwing up their hands and saying, "hey. why not?" i figured we should just tackle the subject head-on, eh?
so hey, this will get spirited and there will definitely be opinions thrown around, so be nice. you all KNOW i will not tolerate BS slinging in any of my campfires.
now get to it.
alternately, discuss who's going to play the main characters when we option scotch to be a movie. maybe we'll re-title it "whiskey, wine, and winona" or something. omg that's a joke
if you want to be as opinionated as possible, trust me. i can take the heat. but i also dish it up super hot, so that's your warning.
oh, and i've been in hawaii, hence my MIA status of late.
