No, not p2p. Something else altogether.
So a couple of weeks ago, I asked in a help campfire if anone knew the name to a vamp fic that had seemed to have disappeared in cyberspace. It was an AU Twilight fic, in which both Bella and Edward were recruited into the guard by Aro. This Edward survived the Spanish Influenza and was stationed as a soldier in Italy while Bella was a Brit sent there by her overprotective father in order to keep her safe from the fighting. Edward is turned first and Bella is subsequently changed when it's discovered that she is Edward's mate (when she is brought to him as a meal, he refuses to drink from her, abhorred at the thought of harming her.).
I finally found the name of the fic: It was Sympathy for the Devil, by the romantic egotist.
Unfortunately, it was pulled (according to her) because of a major hardrive crash and a desire to rewrite the story.
EDIT: If anyone has a pdf of Sympathy for the Devil, either pm me or comment in the campfire. :)
So tell me campers, does pulling to re-write have as much of a stigma attached to it as pulling to publish? When an author does this, does it put you off of their story? Would you be willing to start the story again? What problems arise with re-writing a story? And to anyone who has ever pulled to re-write, was it worth it?
