I ran across a story rec a few days ago for the story By Your Leave by jonesn 353402, but have had no luck finding the story or anything about what happened to it.  Is there anyone out there who might know where I can find it, was it pulled to publish, etc?  Thank you for any help.

So, my lovelies, I have a request.

I'm highly intrigued by the show Beauty and the Beast (the modern one, I mean, though the original series was good, too!). I'd like very much to read some good, quality fanfic about Catherine and Vincent. Unfortunately, fic diving has led to disappointments. HELP WANTED!!!!

Hello all!  Merry Christmas!

I'm looking for help with a story I've been working (admitedly *very* sporadically) on.  I've used Project Team Beta for beta readers on my three previous fics, and I intend to use them again once this one is finished, but what I'm specifically looking for in the meantime is anyone who can help with details.  Specifically, I'm looking for anyone willing to do a bit of pre-reading who knows about 1.) pool (billiards, not swimming); 2.) motorcycles; and 3.) playing the piano.  I know zip, nada, zilch, Jack-frickin-squat about any of the three.  I have been trying to learn a bit online, but I'd really appreciate someone who actually knows what they're talking about giving it a once-over. 

If you're intrested please let me know!  It's entirely up to you whether you want to just do the bits about one of those three things or if you'd like to pre-read the whole thing.  I'm only on the third chapter and up to about 20,000 words.  It's just a rough guess at this point, but I'd guess 125,000ish words at the end.  (But I'm notoriously bad at estimating how long a story will be.)

A very rough outline is that it's a vampire AU fic, but Edward is the human.  Bella is the vampire, but I changed her name.  (There is a reason for that, but it's not a major plot point.)   Mostly canon relationships, but there will be a few changes.  If you've read my other Twilight fic I remain, Yours you know I like "in the know Charlie."  This Charlie will also be in-the-know, but rather than like IrY, he'll be opposed to the relationship.  Will he come around?

I have a Facebook account that I use for fanfiction stuff (Ladee Gwynedd- Ladee because Facebook told me that Lady wasn't a real first name.)  Lately, it seemed that my fanfiction Facebook newsfeed was taken over by constant chatter and pining over Rob and Kristen as a couple.  These comments range from 1) I hope they'll get back together to 2) they are still together just prefer low key 3) and anyone who says they won't and aren't are haters.

Then there are usually a bunch of manips from the Dior shoot that have Kristen's face photoshopped over the blonde's.  Or there are old pictures from back in the day when they were a couple (or a more visible couple) reposted.

I don't mind people having their preferences and they can prefer all they wan't on their Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr/Instagram accounts.  That's what they are for.  I just eliminate them from my newsfeed because I'm not particularly interested in it, myself.

But I am interested in the why.  Why are people so invested in Rob in Kristen as a couple?  You would think these are young people but, no, some are grownup with families of their own. 

I'm interested in ADF campers' opinions because we usually have such great, intelligent discussions from such a broad range of experience among us that I always learn something.  Please share.  Why are some people so invested?

I need some advice as to how to handle a situation that came up this week at work.

I work for a company that has 9 businesses – restaurants. They are all in different cities from one another. I do all of the bookkeeping for them – all daily sales input, all monthly reports, all payroll, all monthly and quarterly taxes – pretty much ever thing except the year end income taxes.

I have been there for three years this coming February.

Last year at Christmas time the boss and his business partner wife gave me a couple of gift cards for different fast food establishments equaling $60.00 and a nice card with a Christmas bonus check of $200.00. I was shocked and thanked the boss profusely. He told me then that he and his wife had discussed it and decided to put me on the same Christmas bonus program as they have their general managers of the restaurants on - $100.00 for each year of service. I even commented on the fact that I hadn’t been there 2 years yet and he went on to say that I do enough extra for them that they wanted to show their appreciation for that.

Fast forward to this week.  On Monday, while I was doing payroll, the boss told me to go ahead and cut the general managers Christmas bonus checks so they could go in the payroll packets we mail out. No mention of me so I just figured that he would do mine himself.

I am sure by now you know where this is going. Yesterday is the last day my boss will be in the office until after the 1st of the New Year. He will be out of town. I did not receive any bonus.
Now the boss is one of those types that may have forgotten he said that last year. He is also one of those people that does not care much about the feelings of his employees. He has been in business for 16 years and, I guess smartly so, can’t get involved in the emotional side of business.

Now, to back up a little – this last Thursday the wife took our sales director, an office assistant that works for her and myself out to a really nice lunch at a 4 star restaurant in the high end resort here in town (yes Mominator it was Beverly’s). She also gave all 3 of us gifts that were appropriate to our jobs if possible. The office assistant loves pink so she got about every desk item you can think of in pink. The sales director got a pen and pencil set (read – says Pierre Cardin but made in China) and a Bluetooth for her car as she spends a lot of time in it. I received a $35.00 KFC gift card and a $50.00 Amazon gift card (oh – and the same pen and pencil set as the sales director).

So – trusted campers I ask you – am I totally wrong to feel slighted and hurt that after being told I was on the same program as the GM’s? Am I just being the proverbial greedy bitch here running around whining where’s mine? I really do feel hurt by this.

My husband says talk to him. I talked in confidence to one of the general managers who has been with the company a long time and is a trusted person and he says to talk to him. My problem is I don’t think I can do it without becoming a crying mess and he does not act well to that.

One part of me says that I should talk to him so I won’t sit there and harbor ill feelings next year. The other part of me says be happy with what you got, say nothing and move forward. It’s not really about the money as we don’t need it though it would have been nice to be able to just splurge. It’s more about feeling forgotten.

Opinions please. I have two weeks to decide what to do.
