Good stories in the world of Twific are hard to come by. Great ones are even harder. I used to turn to the Discerning Ficster blog for all my recs, and when they stopped, RobAttack. So I was saddened to hear that the 'Fic Six' are no longer doing weekly recs on the site. Whilst I didn't love every story they mentioned, I have to give them credit for introducing me to some amazing reads in 2013, including the goddess TheFicChick (of 'Departures' fame). Now that they're gone, I'll be desperately searching campfires and favourites lists on my quest for decently-written fanfiction.

So you tell me - where do you go to find good fanfics? Who do you trust to consistently point you in the direction of well-written Edwards and Bellas? Or should I give up now, given the severe lack of updates and authors left and right pulling their stories for p2p?

What is wrong with me :((

I've decided to stop whining about Twilight ruining me for any other movie (book/fandom, even music, see: Muse), so I decided to do something about it, and start watching movies. I actually need to find something to help me with stress, as I'm going to have a breast MRI soon and I'm kinda worried about what the results will show. Firstly I decided to try a chick flick, Friends with benefits. No. Just no. Then I went for the original Edward Cullen, and gave Man of Steel a try. Oh dear. Zero chemistry with blondie (why was Lois a blonde anyway??). Russel Crowe would have looked much hotter without a beard. Then I tried The amazing spiderman, where the chemistry was much better (real life couple and all), but it felt much more like a teen movie.

HOWEVER, I did go to watch Gravity, and, much to my surprise, I really enjoyed it. Loved the rebirth idea. Maybe I liked it to much because I'm a mother, and it dealt with a mother's worse fear? idk.

Anyway: 1. Happy New year to you all! Let's hope that this year will be (even) better!

              2. Anyone with different opinions on the aforementioned movies, feel free to express them! Also, any recs are more than welcome. Even if I don't like the movie after all, it's still a distraction.

Tonight my Buckeyes take on the Clemson Tigers in the Orange Bowl. It was another stellar season for THE Ohio State University, but we folded like a lawn chair in the B1G Championship. So, we're not playing for the national title, but the Orange Bowl ain't too shabby.

So, with sincere apologies for my adf wifey and love of my fanfiction life, I must post something to cheer them on.

And, since I'm on a roll - how about the men's basketball team - No. 3 in the nation. Not to mention that I could eat Aaron Craft. With a spoon.

And, since I'm obviously out of control and can't stop myself, how about TBDBITL (The best damn band in the land)? Ranked #1 marching band in the NCAA - you better believe they're amazing. Check out some of their youtubes from this year - they will blow you away!!

The biggest question is, do you make a resolution?

Honestly, I didn't really make a resolution this year because I always end up disappointing myself.

I did see someone on Facebook post a 1-10 and it had things on it like try 3 things that scare me, volunteer more, audition for a play. I think the list is the way to go, you could do a 1-5 or a top 3 or something. 

Hi everybody, I need help. A nice reader told me the last chapter of The Fleeting Moment has mistakes. I want to correct, but my problem is that I never learned to use ff net properly (My career started on Twilighted, where correcting is easy) I am not sure of what I should do. I understand (unless there have been changes I don't know of ) that I must : a) correct the chapter on my computer. b) upload the corrected chapter on Doc manager, c) substitute it to the posted one. Apparently I cannot correct the mistakes directly  on Doc manager, right?

It is a big hassle and I. am afraid to mess up, lose the chapter, lose the reviews etc. Can somebody tutor me step by step like instructing a not very bright child? Oh please.

Ok it is Free for all, but I want to give a rec. If you are not reading The Donor by Alchemilla you should. Despite the somewhat flippant summary it is not a crackfic, it is a very serious insight in Edward and Bella's relationship if BD never happened. Alchemilla is very dependable and will update frequently

Summary Novelist Isabella M. Swan is pushing thirty and seeking fertility treatment. Her vampire husband can't exactly contribute. Bella tests the limits of Edward's devotion when she plays off colleagues, fans, and her husband's trust in order to achieve her goal.

Well, I've been lurking around here for a few months and finally decided to post.  I was wondering if anyone could give me some good recs of fics where Edward gets bullied.  I have seen plenty where either Bella gets bullied or Edward is a bully (or even mostly the both together).  However, I have been searching for some where Edward gets bullied and haven't really come up with much.  Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

Okay, so I finally got around mailing the promised Christmas cards and chocolates - on New Year's Eve. (Hanging down my head in shame.)

I have had a "fluctuating" cold since late November, I am a procastinator par excellence, and I also do suffer from the symptom of not being able to say "this is good enough, it will only get marginally better if I add this or that or if I stand on my head in between". (And then I feel inadequate when I look at my horrible handwriting or tacky printed texts that come out of nowhere or unsuitable wrapping or...)

Especially as all the cards that I got (plus some extras, THANK YOU, you know who you are!) are sooo nice, they are timely, they are funny (and they are all handwritten...) and they make my day every time I receive one.

Enough of listing my social shortages, for the time being, anyway.

A year ago, I swear, I had a discussion in the forest about a German (quintessentially) Christmas candy: marzipan with chocolate core and chocolate coating. I promised to find out if I could arrange some via my contacts in Germany and then forward id. Well, the process did start, and my contact did get the "logs" - and before she could send them to me, her dog made a claim on them. (I have got pictures about it somewhere, I swear.)

Anyway, this year (well, last year, I should say) I found some candy fitting the description in Lidl, here in Finland. But I just cannot find any messages, discussions, addresses, tags, notes or anything relating to this.

Have I been dreaming? If not, could the person please come forward or at least pm me, so I could send the candy? Or if I have imagined this thing, just anybody -- 2-3 first to come, first to be served. (The "original" person included.)

 A scavenger hunt: centered around your interpretation of "New", maybe something new you'd like to accomplish this year, something new from 2013 that you'd like to bring into the new year, something that represents one of your New Year's resolutions.

In order to make it a 'scavenger hunt", let's look for four things:

It doesn't have to be wedding related, I just thought it would be easy to remember as we snap pictures and it included 'new' for the new year. :D
