hocus pocus

Tuesday December 8, 2009 at 10:38 PM

Sunday I was on fanfic.net and I had seventy four favorite stories saved.

Today I was on fanfic.net and I have seventy TWO favorite stories.

What the hell happened? Where did the stories go and how the heck do I figure out which stories are gone to begin with?

I cant tell just by looking through a long as list of stries which ones arent there.  This is so frustrating. Now Im gonna be up forever thnking about which stories arent there.

Has this happened to any one else? Has a story you were committed to reading just disappeared on you?  Please tell me I not going crazy.

I went to a lovely holiday party tonight and left you all with some fabulous pictures of Robert smoking and drinking. Everyone was enjoying the pics until they "exceeded the limit" and disappeared (turns out I got them from a non "pro" acct). I hate technology so I officially declare this a

Why I Didn't Like New Moon

Tuesday December 8, 2009 at 8:05 PM

First post and I’m going to jump in the deep end.  :)

I didn’t like New Moon. I didn’t go in expecting much and I got exactly that. I give it a solid “meh.” The CGI for the wolves was not bad. And Taylor Lautner did pretty well. I was really glad they didn’t try to make him look seven feet tall. But for me, the whole movie seemed to lack energy.

I didn’t feel the angst like I did reading the book. The story was the same, that was good, but the deep, devastation that Bella was supposed to be feeling did not come through. Nor did the intense relief and confusion that was supposed to shine through in her reunion with Edward. The good new is that there was no chemistry between Jacob and Bella in the movie just as in the books. Too bad there didn't seem to be much between Edward and Bella either (most of the time.)

Is this because Bella plays so mellow all the time that it’s hard to tell? I don’t think so. Frankly, I thought Catherine Hardwick was just able to get way more range from the actors. Maybe there is something to the fact that it’s a mainly women’s phenomenon… and can someone please explain why are dudes directing these things?

I also didn’t think the score was nearly as compelling as Twilight's. It didn’t draw me in. The music in Twilight did. As a saga I was hoping that they would use the score to tie it all together, (not just the font on the movie posters) to give the movies a feeling of continuity. I was disappointed that they didn’t.

The highlight for me was Jessica Stanley’s post movie monologue. Genius. But that should not have been the highlight. There were just so many other things that should have overshadowed that.

Am I the only one? Don’t let me drown! :)

YAY! MORE PAM

Tuesday December 8, 2009 at 3:33 PM

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Eric's sidekick Pam on "True Blood" is getting a promotion.

Kristin Bauer, who plays blonde vampire Pam, Eric's (Alexander Skarsgard) wingwoman at vampire bar Fangtasia, has been promoted to a regular on the HBO series.

Bauer had guest starred on Alan Ball's vampire drama for the first two seasons, appearing in a total of 11 episodes.

Ball recently hinted that may have a meaty story line in store for Pam for Season 3 when she may get into a lesbian relationship.

Bauer, who most recently co-starred on the CBS drama pilot "House Rules," is repped by the Paul Kohner Agency and Kritzer/Levine/Wilkins/Griffin.

It's a busy casting time at "True Blood," which started production on its third season last week.

Denis O'Hare and Marshall Allman have been tapped as new regulars, and Theo Alexander and Grant Bowler as recurring, with a slew of other roles yet to be cast.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE NEW SEASON! ARE YOU?

RPattz curse?

Tuesday December 8, 2009 at 3:11 PM

Is Robert Pattinson's sex appeal so utterly overwhelming that he's capable of destroying relationships just by co-starring with someone?

The New York Post reports that Uma Thurman, who's scheduled to share the screen with Pattinson in the upcoming romance flick Bel Ami, has split up with her fiancé, hedge fund manager Arki Busson, making Busson the latest in a long line of victims of what many (okay, so far, "we") are calling The R-Pattz Co-Star Curse.

The earliest recorded instance of The R-Pattz Co-Star Curse (copyright pending) occurred early this year, when Gentlemen Broncos actor Michael Angarano, who had been dating Pattinson's Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, suddenly disappeared from Stewart's life with the swiftness and completeness of a Soviet dissident.

But this was just the beginning of R-Pattz's relationship-wrecking streak. Back in June, as she prepared to film the romantic comedy Remember Me with Pattinson, Lost star Emilie de Ravin announced that she was parting ways with her husband of three years, December Ends thesp Josh Janowicz. And thus, a pattern emerged.

And now, with Uma Thurman's breakup, The R-Pattz Co-Star Curse has reached out to crush yet another formerly happy relationship.

If we were The Wrestler director Darren Aranofsky—who's engaged (for now anyway) to Rachel Weisz, who'll be co-starring with Pattinson in the upcoming historical drama Unbound Captives—we'd be pretty worried right now.

Then again, given that Aranofsky is currently preparing to film an angry, aggressive sex scene between Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, he might have already mentally checked out of that relationship.

Rec Me... Rec Me...

I have crave this type of fic at this current moment like a dumpee craves ice cream...

I am craving a Bella and Rosalie friendship. As in best friends. Preferably roommates, but best friends will do me. Edward and Bella or Bella and Jasper pairing. Smutt or no smutt, I'm not bothered.

See what this cravings doing to me. I've just said I am not bothered about not having smutt. Tragic. Truly tragic.

I would prefer it if they were teenagers as well. But I don't care is thier adults.

I think I'm just craving some Bella and Rose friendship. TBH.

Oh, for the love of all that is holy....

Tuesday December 8, 2009 at 12:55 PM

That, up there, is my favourite Edward line. You can give me the "Be safes" and the "Look after my hearts' and all that, but that line just does me in...and I don't know why.

What is your favorite Edward line?

Or, is it one of Emmett's quirky off-beat musings, or perhaps Rosalie's scathing sarcasm...

While we're on the subject of favorite lines, what is your most favorite line of all time form anything...book....film....

And also, oh, for the love of all that is holy, someone please give me a book rec that won't have me cringing at the overly melodramatic writing or rolling my eyes at the silly characters (For some reason Twilight didnt do that to me, I put it down to being dazzled so i didnt' notice the flaws the 1st time around)

AND.....

Just because....

Seven Minutes in Heaven.

Tuesday December 8, 2009 at 12:50 PM

You have seven minutes in a closet with the Twilight cast member of your choice.

What're you going to do with your time?  With who?

The catch?  Keep it rated PG-13 like the actual movies.

Or be a rebellious rule breaker and say what you'd really do.

Go!

Rob at the lovely Bones premiere last night

Tuesday December 8, 2009 at 10:55 AM

TWILIGHT Saga: New Moon's Robert Pattinson attended the premiere of The Lovely Bones last night.

Vampire Diaries actress Katerina Graham spotted Twilight Saga: New Moon's Robert Pattinson checking out the film in L.A.

She wrote on her Twitter page late last night:

“At the premiere of lovely bones and Robert Pattinson is here girls!

“Should I kidnap him for the fans? He's sitting a few rows from me.”

While R-Pattz chose to skip the red carpet, a flock of beautiful stars did stop for the photographers including the film's cast - Saoirse Ronan, Susan Sarandon and Rachel Weisz.

Robert has been seeking out normalcy in his life, which is not easy for the Twilight star to do.

Last week he joined a bunch of his guy friends at the Hotel Café Bar for a show to escape the fan fever that consumes him on a daily basis.

Instead of a relaxing evening, Rob blew his cover and was forced to leave the bar trying to hide under a cap and sweater once word got out that the New Moon heartthrob was in the building.

We are glad to see R-Pattz out and about, although, where was Kristen Stewart?

source-Ok!

Ranger ETA-no pics yet! The one that was up on this post was from the NY premiere (thank you Tor!) Not your fault hellorobert-OK! magazine got it wrong (geez what a surprise).

Twilight in sketches...

Tuesday December 8, 2009 at 9:01 AM

I stole this from theoatmeal.com/story/twilight

The article is dumb but the pictures made me laugh.  Also I love how everyone thinks Twilight sucks but will always do an article on it because they know it'll get their site a ton of traffic.

This is Bella, the author calls her Pants because she's so nondescript and could be anyone.

I realize that the holidays are hectic for everyone, and you may not have a lot of time.

This contest was originally going to be much larger (THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID) but I decided to make it smaller.

Here's what you have to do.

You need to take 2 seasonal songs and change the lyrics. ie; 12 Days of Christmas, or Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. Easy enough, right?

But, wait  - there's a catch!

The lyrics need to coincide with Twilight, A Different Forest, and our lovely Rangers.

That's it.

I think that's pretty simple.

I've got some more details for you.

Deadline to sumbit entries is December 21st at 11:59 PM EST. Send them to this email: torsstupidmouth@gmail.com

Weiner will be selected on December 22nd, and will also be announced that day!

I know you're thinking, if I'm doing all this, what do I get in return?

Weiners will get a $150 American Express Gift Card.

That's right, $150!

You'll be able to spend it anywhere you want, and they're accepted in most countries.

The winning selections will be sung on Trainwreck with Jess & Joe. And possibly Dancing, as well.

Bonus points if you record the two songs yourselves. I'll be swayed by those, js.

Even more bonus points if you take pics of yer holiday decorations and send them to me.

Also, a little Henry Cavill porn, or Billy Burke porn never hurt anyone either. or gay boy porn. JS JS.

Go forth and compose!
