Earlier this month, the lovely mirrorlight posted in the Daily Chew that it was officially "Give up your "Shoulds" day". 

I think it's a great idea. 

Today we're going to state our November Resolutions.

What 'shoulds' are you going to give up?  How will it help you re-examine your goals for the rest of the year (or rest of your life)? 

What do you judge yourself (or loved ones) on that you want to change?

Sorry for the late posting--this month I'm doing NaNo (National Novel Writing month--click link if you don't know what that is) so I'm trying to limit my internet time until I meet the word count of the day.  This doesn't always work for me, so I went somewhere that had limited wi-fi and reached 1400 words before going home. 

One of my November resolutions is not be upset at myself at procrastinating writing.  Having said that, I'm not going to deliberately sabatoge myself.  So I figure if I try my best, ie writing every day this month, I'll consider that winning.

What do you think about these or other novels that were written during NaNo?  Do you think it's obvious that it was written in 30 days?  (I do.)  How does it differ over other novels that were written over longer periods of time?  For example, Barbara Kingsolver calls The Poisonwood Bible her thirty year novel.

Welcome to our biweekly Healthy Lifestyle CF!

Rain has finally fallen and we hit highs that weren't in the 70s here in SoCal. For a lot of people, the non-thinking exercises are no longer an option due to weather. Who really wants to take a walk along the riverfront in the rain (although those are some of my fonder memories from the years in Oregon). 

So if weather is keeping you indoors and snow activities aren't available yet, how do you stay active?
