~What an awesome story! Bella used to exude enthusiasm, a love for life and had tons of self-confidence with extra to spare. She was quite an athlete as a competitive skier on the university's ski team until a freak accident caused her to lose control and slam into a tree. The result was a compound fracture in her lower leg that had to be pinned back into place. Unfortunately there were added complications and she was faced with major life-changing adjustments. She's a survivor and she's going to make it no matter what, but you can imagine she has some issues. She becomes increasingly jaded and builds a wall around her heart. Not just a wall, a freaking fortress!

She told Edward of the date way ahead of time, bought a dress, bought tickets, but when it got down to time, he had scheduled a rodeo to go to. He could've missed. One time to put her first would not have mattered, but he thought this might be the one to get him into the pro's. Bella had had enough. She told him to choose - her or the rodeo.

The twist on this is Edward is deaf, so they speak in sign language. Bella kicks any one’s butt but who picks on him and he helps her with her homework. A really feel good story.
