Happy Fic Dive Friday! It's still Friday...right?
I have completed the second week of school with face masks, thermometers,
plexiglass partitions, hand sanitizer, and three different Science preparations.
I am well and truly overloaded. : /
I encourage you to find and support new or under-the-radar authors.
Some of them are very original and gifted!
I hope you find something you can enjoy!
Let’s dive right in, shall we?
A Beautiful Mess By: Rainbows and Puppies
Edward Cullen spent the last five years living and breathing his work. When the time came where he had to chose between his head and his heart, he was stuck at a crossroad. Sometimes when a person has a key to your soul, there's very little you can do to resist and fight the connection.
~Oh my goodness...what is going on? What is the deal with angry Bella who acts like a limpet? Slow burn!
Cracking Cullen By: Mylisssa
No one touches Cullen. They keep trying as if winning his affection is a game. No one gets a chance with him. At least, that's what they think.
Entrapment By: jemster23
For Bella Swan, desperate times call for desperate measures. For Edward Cullen, family is everything.
~She desperately wants a baby. What has Bella done?
PunchDrunk By: DragonsExist
AU/AH OOC E/B Edward moves to Portland to start college and a new chapter in his life. After meeting a brown-eyed girl, he wonders if love is truly blind.
~Edward struggles with abandonment issues as his rich absentee parents jet-set around the world. He is sadly accustomed to being alone, but when he starts college he hopes to do things differently. He does in fact meet a very different Bella who opens him up to a whole new world. I believe it’s finished but not marked complete.
Summer of Fudge By: FeistyDragon
He was enjoying the summer working in the family business. She was enjoying the summer doing her own thing. It never felt so good being a kid in the 609.
~Complete, but it was new to me! Very 'sweet' and fluffy.
Til I Said it to You By: A.L. Rules
She's a serial rescuer with a history of adopting strays. He's selfish and arrogant, cut loose by his family to find himself. Will Bella fall for his act, or will Edward find more than he bargained for? AH/OOC M for the usual reasons (Rewrite/repost). Dedicated with love to athome Jo.
~Whoa...Edward is one arrogant, pretentious brat who believes he should continue to have everything handed to him...until it’s not.
Those Days Were Over By: 2brown-eyes
As children we spent our summers as fishing buddies that became childhood sweethearts. College led us on different paths until fate had them collide once more. He was no longer the boy I remembered from carefree summers—those days were over.
~Each chapter is a snapshot of the two-week time period they saw each other during summer vacations as they grew up. Can they make it?

~Prepare for Part 2!
You Found Me By: brighteyes87
When her marriage started to fall apart, she ran into a beautiful stranger on the streets of London. Can he show her what love is supposed to be and help her move on?
~Whoa …this is a sweet torturous love story, with a big serving of angst and UST. Bella is in an imploding marriage to Jake, who in his rise to success, has turned into a very dominating, demanding, controlling, neglectful monster. He expects Bella to dress like he says, go where he allows, and just exist to be his trophy wife. Bella is trying her best to be what she feels she ought to be out of a sense of obligation and guilt, but is so lonely and miserable. She starts going out to museums, coffee shops and bookstores. Then Bella literally runs into Edward outside a coffee shop – a trust fund, med school drop out, tortured musician, and sparks fly. What a brilliant story!
If Love Could Light a Candle By: Pastiche Pen
Edward Cullen: telepath, vampire, and psychologist. When a new patient ignites unfamiliar feelings in his soul, can he reconcile his past with his future? A la Midnight Sun.
~Back in the day, I could NOT put this one down. Pastiche Pen is a masterful, captivating storyteller! A ‘dark noir’, good vs. bad, each chapter, epic in length (each one could be 3-4 chapters), starts with what Edward was doing during his renegade years away from Carlilse in the 1920’s, and how he searched for criminals to justify his human bloodlust. Each period piece is SO well researched into the culture, slang, historical, artistic and musical references – and all the sensations – it just puts you there in the middle of it. And when he finds his target, it is so well written you can just feel it when he Bites, Sucks deeply, Swallows. Sweet Mary Mother of God!!! … Then it switches to a present day Midnight Sun type account in his encounter, dilemma, and sensual pursuit of the lovely Bella, where she eventually debates that he reconcile the evil that he thinks he was, with the good that he has become.
I hope everyone is safe and healthy! Take care of yourselves!
