Completed Snarky Edward Fics Needed

Tuesday November 10, 2009 at 5:02 PM

My work week has been horrible and I am teetering back and forth between needing either the happy fics or something with a snarky Edward who falls hard for Bella.  Does anyone know of something with a snarky Edward  and is completed?

I need to run the roller coaster but can't be left without a HEA.

 Thanks :)

So, totally borrowing from the soundtrack idea that the lovely mods came up with.

But I'm curious- if you were going to play a song during the volturi scene, right where jane is torturing edward and he fights with ... felix, I think (?)... what song would you use?

Give me youtube links to moody fight songs. GIVE ME SOMETHING EDWARD CAN BE MESSED UP TO!

From Ted-CW To Direct BD?

Tuesday November 10, 2009 at 3:31 PM

Chris Weitz to Direct Breaking Dawn?

Robert Pattinson, Chris Weitz

Although Twilight and New Moon screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg played coy when Marc Malkin asked whether she would write the screenplay for Breaking Dawn last month, we were able to confirm from our studio sources that she will, in fact, be back to write the fourth script—and possibly the fifth.

It's still up in the air whether B.D. will be two movies—hence why everyone dodged any questions about the fourth flick during the New Moon junket.

During the press conference a reporter asked Kristen Stewart about the possibility of two movies, but the mic was immediately pulled away as the intermediary guy said "next question."

So what's the latest on the fourth Twilight flick? And will New Moon's Chris Weitz direct?

Here's what we could squeeze out of the cast:

"I think the tentative time for Breaking Dawn is fall of next year. I think. They may well change that," Robert Pattinson told a sea of reporters on Friday.

Rosenberg and Weitz did a panel together, and we grabbed both of them on their way out.

Have you started writing the script for Breaking Dawn, or is it still in development?
Rosenberg:
"You know what, I still can't comment on that yet!"

OK. We all know the fourth one is going to happen eventually—if you say no comment again, can we take that as a sign it's very much in the works?
Rosenberg:
[laughs.] "OK, no comment!"

As for who will direct the fourth flick? Ashley Greene thinks it'll be a new director, but we're not totally sure. Summit wanted Chris Weitz to direct Eclipse, but because of scheduling conflicts, he wasn't able to. And the entire cast loves C.W., too.

Seriously, we haven't heard one bad thing about you from the cast, crew or studio. If asked, would you come back on and direct Breaking Dawn?
Weitz:
"Well, I'd be stupid not to. I loved [directing New Moon]. Summit, the cast, the crew, everyone was amazing. But making a movie takes up a lot of time, and I have a young son at home. Right now my plan is to spend a lot time with my family."

Looks like C.W. is taking a play out of the Robsten book! We don't think that's a firm no—do you all? Plus, since R.Pattz said we've got a good year to go, maybe Chris will be ready to get back on the Twilight fan-wagon.

What say you Twi-hards...want him back, or not?

Rob leaving his Paris Hotel

Tuesday November 10, 2009 at 3:08 PM

I almost fainted when these popped up on my screen!

Robert Pattinson flashed that charming smile on his way out of the Crillon Hotel in Paris today. This morning he suited up to step out with Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart, all three of whom looked fantastic for their press conference. The cast conducted some interviews with French TV — which you can check out here — and now are headed off on their next adventure. Yesterday Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz were up in San Francisco and joked to the crowd of fans about shaving Robert's head in his sleep and how he's been practicing his running after being nicknamed "Flippy" by Kristen.

Moody Vampire Speaks

Tuesday November 10, 2009 at 12:59 PM

rpat3sharpPATTINSON: ‘I’M A BIT MANIC DEPRESSIVE

You could be forgiven for thinking that with his sultry good looks and iconic status after playing the lead role in Twilight, Robert Pattinson would be a tad arrogant.

Not so. When new! goes to meet the London-born actor, we are taken aback at how humble he is. He doesn’t seem to understand why women swoon over his chiselled features and incredible blue-grey eyes. But in the flesh, up close, his beauty is breathtaking.

We are here to discuss his upcoming film, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, the sequel to Twilight, in which he again plays the mysterious Edward Cullen. But when we move onto the subject of girlfriends, he won’t be pinned down.

Rumours persist that he is dating his co-star Kristen Stewart, 19. The pair were spotted looking intimate together at a Kings Of Leon gig earlier this year and were seen having a romantic meal after the MTV Movie Awards in May. He has also been linked to Hollywood publicist Erika Dutra.

Yet Robert says the rumours are “ridiculous”. Instead, he insists that fame works against him finding a girlfriend. “Girls scream for Edward, not Robert,” he says. “I still can’t get a date!”

Unsurprisingly, though, we can’t help but press the allegedly single 23 year old on his love life, his legions of fans and his messy hair…

In New Moon, you compete for a woman’s affections. Has that ever happened to you in real life?
Yeah, it has, but any girl I’ve ever really wanted to go out with in the past, I’ve always lost to someone else! I know that sounds like the ones I did go out with were the ones I didn’t want to go out with, but that’s not the case. A lot of my ambitions are tied up with wanting pretty girls to like me [laughs].

Have you ever had a fight over a girl?
No, I’m terrified about getting into fights because it’s like, “Hey, I’m an actor – don’t touch the face!”

Are you romantic?
I used to be very romantic, but acting ruined my seduction techniques because you start to think everything is a “method”. You over-analyse everything – you analyse how if you say one thing, someone likes you and if you say another, they don’t. You just start to experiment on people, which isn’t good for real life! I don’t think I’m very romantic any more. I’m just a bit manic depressive!

You seem different from Edward – very gentle. Do women get scared of you?
I’d hope so, yeah. If you can’t scare a girl then you’re not much of a guy [laughs]!

What sort of girl do you like?
I like people who are strong and have a lot of darkness to them.

Is it true you had female fans camping out in front of your home?
Yeah, they were, for a while. I used to get people leaving notes on my car every day. The first note would say something like, “Hey, I’m not weird or anything – just call me.” And the next day, it would be like, “Please don’t ignore me, please don’t ignore me.” The next day it’d be like, “If you ignore me, I’ll kill myself. But I’m not weird!”

How does it feel being the fantasy of millions of girls?
It’s just funny, because if the fans were to talk to me for five minutes – if one of them came up and sat with me for five minutes – the illusion would be gone!

So you think your fans would be disappointed if they met you?
Yeah, they probably would! There’s just no way to be what so many people want because everybody has their own view of me.

So if a woman comes up to you, do you know if she is really interested in you or just your fame?
If she’s attractive, it doesn’t really matter [laughs]! I kind of prefer that [women coming up to me] and if they’re a fan, it’s perfect.

Do you see yourself as a heart-throb?
No, I’ve never thought like that. I’ve never got the “good-looking guy” roles before, so that’s saying something!

Is it true that you rarely change your clothes?
Yeah, kind of. Like these jeans are a few days old, but the top is probably fresh because it gets to the point where even I can’t stand the air around me. I don’t know, my personal hygiene – it’s so disgusting! Really it’s just that I have very few clothes that I like and I’m travelling all the time, so I can’t really get any more.

And what about your hair?
Yeah, there’s a fascination with my hair, too. It’s funny, because that’s all down to how I used to hate my dad wanting to brush my hair when I was a kid. I hated it! So it’s funny this whole thing with my hair is just from not brushing it!

How has life changed for you since Twilight came out?
It’s quite tough at the moment. It was OK for a while, but then something happened and it changed and suddenly people started hanging outside my house. It’s strange because I haven’t been somewhere where people don’t know where I am for a while now. It’s quite hard to get out of hotels without being followed – you have to think cleverly about things. That’s a strange thing to deal with. And it’s funny because, no matter what you do – no matter how uninteresting it is – it still ends up on the cover of magazines. It’s just weird. It just seems like the more boring you are, the more people think you’re doing all sorts of sordid things!

Was it fun reprising your role as Edward in New Moon?
Yeah, it was. I was surprised by how relaxed and easy it was to get back into it. I think it’s because I always connected more to the second book than the first one.

What is next for you?
I’m doing a couple of films. I’m not doing any massive movies. They’re just things that say something to me.

So...What gets your motor running?

Tuesday November 10, 2009 at 10:36 AM

Here we are; my first campfire! Which is really a spin off from a previous post:

What is it that you really love, your true love let's say, about Twilight?

Basically, are you a die hard RPattz fan that will follow him anywhere and you could not care less what the story is really about?

Did you read the books first before the mulitudes, before the millions?  And the original EC is the only man for you? Or Jacob or Jasper? Or Bella. Hey whatever works for you. : )

Or has fanfic taken your original interest, turned it on it's head, smacked it on it's bottom and now you don't know which way it up?

Or has the community, the camaraderie with fellow fans really drawn you in and that's why you visit day after day?

I love it all but for me it's fanfic, I love the books but after BD I just wanted more and found FF.net and haven't looked back.

Tidbits from Paris press conference

Tuesday November 10, 2009 at 10:01 AM

12h27 : Arrival of the smiling stars Kristen is stunning with her white dress, fans are crazy, the atmosphere is incredible. It's completely nuts out there with Rob, Kristen, Taylor and Chris Weitz. Pattinson is even embarrassed to trigger off all this attention.

12h46 : Kristen answers the 1st question. Rob is exhausted, he keeps rubbing his eyes ans once again he is amazed by the crowd who is in front of him... and who can't help watching him ! Twilight, it's not just a movie, it's a phenomenon !

12h53 : Robert jokes and avoids half the questions giving them to Kristen ! The mix of shyness and humor is really cute but we'd love to have information !

12h59 : Robert Pattinson's favorite vampire film ? "mine", he says smiling. The audience is laughing.

13h01 : According to the actor ,New Moon has a different mood. Very different from the 1st movie.

13h07 : Kristen agrees. She thinks the 2nd movie can be seen if you haven't sen Twilight.

13h10 : End of the press conference. For the fans it was too short ! The exclusive news will be given another time. What a pity...

Just Wondering...

Tuesday November 10, 2009 at 8:08 AM

This is a message from the "Other Side" lol.  The following post is NOT meant to inflame anything.

I have noticed this for some time, and finally decided to toss my two cents in.  There seems to be a growing sentiment of real dislike for the Twilight Saga everything; books, the movie, and the author.

There seems to be a real love it/hate it scenario here, but I feel 'safe' here in voicing my opinion.

I tried to think of a delicate way to ask this question the nicest way I could without making it appear inflammatory.

Why are you here?

I think this site is wonderful, because censorship sucks, lol.  I really am curious.

Is it a love/hate thing?

Is it that the books make you uncomfortable on some level?

The points raised are valid.  Nothing is perfect.  I never expect it to be. I'm not disagreeing with you;however, I LIKE the books, movie(s), and the author.

Breaking Down has many issues but I still *Gasp* like many things about it.

In the area of ff, I see so many comments made by both authors/writers that can turn into a flame war.  I know this is a moot issue on this site as there was a  recent major discussion; I am merely using it as an example.

The stock answer is moist given is:  "if you don't like it, then don't read it."

Doesn't that apply to the books as well?  And yes when you publish anything you are setting yourself up for all kinds of potential poop to hit the fan.

So why the double standard?

I know it's everywhere. I am focusing on the Saga sites/fandoms. (And yes, I said poop.  My midgets are in the room and it's habit.  I save my eloquent language for after they are in bed)

At least here everyone can have their say without their fingers being duct taped into silence.

At least the books moved you. (Repulsed or not, hee hee.)

Yes, the Saga and TW related stuff may have flaws. a close friend described it like this: Some things are like a trainwreck (no pun intended Jandco, you and Joe=win); they are ugly and horrible but you just can't stop looking.

I may be in the minority here, but I like the books, movie, and author.  Perfect? Absolutely not.

It's fiction.

~End Rant~

Tuesday November 10, 2009 at 4:21 AM

Sorry about that!  Well, as you can see I'm barely computer literate, someday when I can learn how to post Rob Porn without embarrassing my son to death I surely will!

Just wanted to say Hello, I've been lurking here for awhile and dearly love this site.  Since I work the night shift its better than Red Bull and No doze for keeping me awake!  It seems the longer I'm on graveyard shifts, the more obsessed I am with Twilight.....coincidence?  I've also managed to lure my sister to her "twilight doom".  We had an "Unofficial First annual Rob Pattinson Film Festival" last weekend.  We watched "H.P. & Goblet of Fire", "Twilight" (duh!) and "The Haunted Airman".   Lots of popcorn throwing on that one...Has anyone seen "The Haunted Airman"?  Care to explain the plot??? Thanks in advance! Kathi

Robert Pattinson's new job

Monday November 9, 2009 at 11:34 PM

Hello.

I read on ONTD that Robert Pattinson is coming to New Zealand (my place) to film a movie. I started thinking about New Zealand movies then and thought about the only two that I like.

I also thought may be Rob should be in them. It'd mak it awesome. Like these:

This was Jenn's idea. We think he should be a tongan princess. It'd be perfect for him.

I'd like to see Rob with a New Zillund accent. This movie is like badfic, so bad it's good. But it is supposed to be like that.

So, I'd like to start a petition. People who want him to be in the sequels for these movies, sign here.

Now.

That's you.

And You.

Yeah, you.

Just like to add:

Yum Yum.
