So this amazing series has been playing on BBC America for the past seven weeks and it concluded tonight. I read the book (ten years ago) and have been waiting for this piece of epicness ever since. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Every week, I've watched and gushed and flailed, and it stayed awesome all the way through. 

This mini-series hit every hot spot for me. Regency history? Check. Gorgeous costumes? Check. Magical realism? Check. Not-classically-handsome-but strangely-appealing-leading-man? Check.

Anyway, was I the only one watching this? if you watched, what did you think?

What do you listen to when you need empowerment?

Today I was going to post about something else when I came across the picture and story:

Yes, those are mutant daisies.  And, yes, they found them near the Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan.  And, no, I don't know what the Japanese says about but I don't know how to cut it out.  Sure hope I'm not swearing on the ADF front page by accident.  :D

So, today, I thought we could bond over those oddities that we love to hear about.  Have an odd picture? Read an 'odd news' story lately?  Seen a quirky photo online?  Come share with us.  (esp as we miss Kelli-Rose's internet roundup CFs since she's offline this summer.)
