They did it!! World Champs!

Its ts been a long, long time since I've visited the forest. *hangs head in shame* I've missed you!! I usually lurk about once a month nowadays. The rec'ds here are just the best! Yes, I've become a lurker - but I do check in to see what's up in the forest. Today I visited to see what was being said about the World Series. I didn't see anything so hope it's ok I'm posting- Rangers?

I am so beyond excited about the Cubs winning the World Series. The picture says it all, doesn't it?! 108 years is a long time to wait! They've been my favorite team for as long as I can remember - I grew up watching and going to Cubs games. My grandma who just passed was 97. She and my grandfather were die hard cubbie fans. I wish she could've seen this. So, it's not just a team, a baseball season to me. Both teams were so good - and wow, 7 games...then a 10th inning! My nails are gone, my heart has returned to a normal rhythm again.

(I get to meet my bro's gf this year at thanksgiving. Cuz yes, let's throw the stranger at my family during a holiday. That seems like a smart move, bro.)
