Each week I will brave the treacherous waters of Fan Fiction for buried treasure!
Hope everyone enjoyed thier holidays! The Northeastern US is in the middle of a deep freeze, so I had some time cuddled under a blanket to do some diving!
Happy New Year!
Don't forget to let these writers know you found them here at ADF!
A few of these are one shot contest entries. I generally don't rec one shots because I always hold out hope that they'll be continued, but these were perfect holiday reading.
Passion and Propriety by Elise de Sallier
There is absolutely nothing improper about the Vicar of Forkton's spinster daughter nursing the badly wounded Viscount Masen back to health. Isabella is far too sensible to develop feelings for a man of Lord Masen's wealth and position . . . a man who is determined to break the curse that has plagued his family for generations by letting his bloodline die out.
Interestingly enough, this writer is turning an O-Fic into a B&E story.
The Letter by ericastwilight
The story all started with a missorted letter, but will it have a happy ending? A holiday present for all my readers.
Short holiday story with a sweet little brother.
The First Day by JonesnInDaHood
On the first day of Christmas Edward Cullen uproots his life and the life of his children to start anew. They move from one coast to another to escape the past, unaware that the family next door would be the key to a new future.
Edward and Bella deal with appropriately angsty teens. Eeek! They both have some issues of their own.
Tattoo on My Heart by sarahjdavis021
Bella is out with friends and they decide to get a tattoo. She never imagined one tattoo could change her whole life
Just getting started. Tattoo-ward.
Mechanics and Mistletoe by tufano79
Bella is driving in a snowstorm back to her hometown for Christmas. Along the way, her car gets stuck in a snowbank. Edward is a tow truck driver and pulls her out. Can an uptown girl fall for a guy with grease on his hands?
COMPLETE--ticks a few boxes: Fluff, smut, drama and romance.
TIME LAPSE by purpleC305
As a photojournalist, Edward studies human emotion, but his own feelings are closely guarded. Bella hides nothing, her feelings as free and open as her heart. Frame by frame, Edward feels himself being pulled closer. But is he ready to step out from behind the camera and into life?
COMPLETE. Apparently there was some hubbub around this story as it pertains to the Christmas Contest. I missed all that so I just read and enjoyed it as it stands now. :)
Resting Grinch Face by LayAtHomeMom
Grinchin' ain't easy, but Edward Cullen makes it look so damn good.
Hee Hee! Just the name of this one made me giggle. Complete one shot.
Here's to finding great new Fic in 2018! Happy Reading!
