Sorry for the lack of Bondfires for the last few weeks!  Between Spring Break and some unexpected sad news x 2, it was hard to get time to do much posting.

Earlier today I went to this great meeting at my kids' middle school that focused on suicide prevention and also social media.  Their school is amazing and the teachers/staff care so much that I feel lucky to have my girls there.  Afterward, one of my friends mentioned that she heard my daughter took a 'mental health' day.  (A while back, not today. She did, but I had initially thought she was physicially sick. It ended up being a good break for her.)  So my question for you is:

1) Do you ever take a mental health day?  (either intentionally or not)  What do you do to get back on track?

2) I've been re-reading one of my favorite go-to books, Where She Went by Gayle Forman.  There is a specific scene that I've read dozens of times. What is one of your favorite scenes in a novel?  Why do you think you keep going back to it?

3) Mrs. Cherry Bomb and I were talking about nostalgia and re-reading books from our childhood.  What's one of your favorite reads as a child that still holds up today?

4) Random bonding moments: The other day I bonded with one of my patients' parents over a tattoo she had of a band we both like. 

5) Random Ask-An-Expert/Ask-A-Camper Question: Choose a question that you want to post to the forest regarding advice about something.  I have a specific reason I'm asking but I'll put my inside the CF.  :D

...as quicky as I escorted myself back in, for spamming ACOMAF and it's wonderfulness.  

More reasons to read the series, as if Rhys wasn't enough - the secondary cast of characters, introduced in book 2, are amazing all on their own.  

There's Cassian, the War General.  Think Emmett with wings, brawn AND brains.  And snark.  Lot's of wonderful snark.  If "Nestian" doesn't happen in the first spin-off book, I'm going to riot. (Even though Nesta is a cranky old b*tch - think Rosalie). 

And Azriel.  Sigh.  I just love the Shadowsinger.  He's a little bit like Jasper.  Only, a broodier, more-visibly-scarred Jasper with an unrequited love for his "Alice," going on 500 years now.  

And The Morrigan.  She's loyal and awesome.  And she's also .... well, I don't want to spoil book 3, but let's just say "Yay" for diversity.  

And I already mentioned Rhys, right?  Because, seriously, there can't be anything as "too much" Rhys.  And no one writes wickedly, delightful, sexy banter like SJM.  NO ONE.  OK, maybe a couple of our really awesome Twific authors from back in the day.  But no one else. (This is not a swipe at any current Twific authors, I just haven't read any twific in about 2 or 3 years). 

OK, that is my very necessary PSA for the day.  I'll shut up ... for now.  

*Um, er, is it still free for all Fridays?  After I unceremoniously flounced the entire fandom - mostly to finish grad school and work towards independent licensure, and I honestly can't 100% recall the other reasons - I sort of forgot the posting rules. 

... you know you've been MIA for a long time when  you can't even remember how to start a campfire.  I didn't even know ADF still existed! Gah!

You know what this place could use?  Some Rhysand.  He's better than Edward, and he has wings (fyi, wingspan is a good indicator of the size of other parts).  And he can have sexy-time with those wings.  He doesn't wear a kilt, but he *could* (although his knee tattoos would hang out).  

Sadly, the ACOMAF fanfic world leaves a lot to be desired, which is sad, because there is SO MUCH DANGED POTENTIAL THERE!
